What's your favourite music and why?
I have two.
1) Kings of Leon because they're so different. The drummer is amazing, the vocals are unique and raw and -honest-. They sing even better live than they do recorded, and I truly respect the rare band that can achieve that. Their style has changed drastically since they released "Youth and Young Manhood" but three albums later, I still love them. I just can't compare their music anymore.
Listening to Kings of Leon feels like listening to music from a different time period, almost--the scratchy southern rock. And though they don't sing my favorite song, they -do- sing many songs that I love. That's why their my favorite band, actually--I judge a band by how many of their songs I truly love or enjoy. And Kings of Leon doesn't have a single song that I -don't- like.
2) Red Hot Chili Peppers comes in second only because they have a few songs that I'm not crazy about. BUT they have John Frusciante, so...it's a tie, or the Peppers win. They also sing my favorite song of 6 years, "Otherside".
